Chingri Malai Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • Prawn 500 gm
  • Mustard oil 70 ml
  • Cumin 1 Tsp
  • Cumin Pwd. 1 Tsp
  • Green chilly 4-6 No’s
  • Ginger 1 Inch
  • Red chili powder 1 Tsp
  • Turmeric 1 Tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut 1 ½ No
  • Ghee 2 Tbsp
  • Garam Masala Pwd. 1 Tsp

Pre-preparations:

  • Clean and devein prawns. Prepare coconut milk.
  • Grind ginger. Slit green chilies.

Preparations:

  • Heat mustard oil and add cumin seed.
  • Add ginger paste, cumin pwd., red chili powder, turmeric powder and sauté.
  • Add prawns and slit green chilies, cook for some time.
  • Add thick coconut milk and simmer for few minutes till prawns are cooked.
  • Add pure ghee and garam masala powder and mix. Serve hot.
